Abstract

Producing a robust avocado that can withstand the rigours of the supply chain to reach the consumer in a state of acceptable quality is a priority for the Australian avocado industry. This animated video aims to de-mystify the complex and interacting factors that influence avocado robustness.

It focuses on the importance of pre-harvest mineral nutrition and how optimal fruit nutrient balance for robustness may be achieved through good orchard management practices.
