AbstractExamination of 12 strains of Tritrichomonas foetus isolated from bovine genital organs showed that 9 strains were serologically similar to T. foetus var. belfast and 3 strains possessed an antigen different from and a common antigen with T. foetus var. manley. These three strains did not react with antisera prepared against T. foetus var. manley unless the organisms were disintegrated before injection into the rabbit. It is proposed that they be called T. foetus var. brisbane (new serotype).
