Abstract

The genera Aonidiella and Chrysomphalus are each represented in Queensland by four species and Quadraspidiotus by one.
The species A. aurantii (Maskell), C. ficus Ashmead and Q. perniciosus (Comstock) are widely distributed and important economic pests.
Indigenous species are A. eremocitri McKenzie, C. rubribullatus (Froggatt) and C. trifasciculatus Brimblecombe.
