Abstract

Four species of Ceroplastes occur in Queensland, namely C. ceriferus (Anderson), C. destructor Newstead, C. floridensis Comstock, and C. rubens Maskell. Two of these - C. destructor and C. rubens - are widely distributed in coastal and subcoastal areas on a large number of hosts and are of economic importance, particularly in citrus orchards.
