Abstract

Study of herptile faunas within native forests and managed exotic pine Pinus plantations, subject to different burning regimes, produced inconsistent results with respect to the effects of fire management on vertebrate diversity and species richness. Abundance varied markedly among burning regimes in native forest areas.
