Abstract

A new bacterial leaf spot of Antirrhinum majus L. is described. The pathogenicity of the associated organism is established and a description of morphological, cultural and biochemical characters is given. This organism is considered to be a subspecies of Pseudomonas fluorescens Migula, 1895, and the name Pseudomonas fluorescens var. antirrhinastri var. nov. is proposed.
