Abstract

In a field test in Queensland in 1967, 5 insecticides were tested against cicadellids, especially Amrasca terraereginae (Paoli) (Austroasca terraereginae), attacking potato plants. The most satisfactory reductions in numbers were obtained when disulfoton was applied in granules in the planting furrow at 2 240 g/ha followed by 0.1% DDT in sprays. No increases in yield were obtained, however.
