A study of various methods and herbicides in Eucalyptus regrowth control

Abstract

Methods of controlling suckering which follows the ringbarking of bloodwood (Eucalyptus dichromophloia) in subcoastal southern Queensland were investigated. Application of 2, 4, 5-T butyl ester in a diesel-distillate carrier to a continuous frill near ground level was the most effective method of controlling suckering. The disadvantages of this method of treatment and the possibilities of applying 2,4,5-T butyl ester as a bark spray are discussed.
