Following mechanical inoculation of the resistant accessions Cucurbita maxima ‘Redlands Trailblazer’, C. ecuadorensis and Cucumis melo ‘Cinco’ with these isolates, all proved to be highly resistant, based on symptom expression and ELISA, and are suitable for continued use in cucurbit breeding programs.
