Abstract

Outstanding new research by DPI&F scientists at the Queensland Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries Centre for Wet Tropics Agriculture, South Johnstone in northern Queensland has lead to the control of the two destructive diseases, root rot and black spot of papaya. Ninety percent of Australia's papaya is currently grown in North Queensland.
