Abstract

"Leaf cast" disease of kauri pine is described and shown to be caused by a sphaeropsid fungus which has a Torula stage. The fungus is compared with Hendersonula toruloidea and shown to be a different species. The name Hendersonula agathi is proposed for the fungus and a diagnosis is given.
